One of the most fun ways to have a good laugh at a baby shower is to play fun games! It sounds pretty easy, but sometimes games can feel overcomplicated or drag on too much. I’ve put together some tried and tested baby shower games that hit the jackpot every time!

They’re easy, fun and are suitable for any age group. I’ve put together quite a bunch for you to choose from; you really only need 3 or 4, otherwise it can be overkill. And no one wants that. The best thing about these baby shower games is that they’re all easy to put together for a DIY party, and they’re very budget-friendly!

Guess the Baby Food

A classic baby shower game that always gets hilarious reactions is for guests to taste different baby foods and try to guess the flavor. Add some interesting ones to the table to make it harder to guess. Small tip- make sure there are no allergies before serving!

Baby Bump Measure

Another really easy and simple game is to get guests to cut pieces of string to the size they think matches the mum-to-be’s bump. You learn which of your friends has very little sense of measurements!

Baby Charades

This is another cute and easy baby shower game that will guarantee some laughter. Get the guests to act out baby-related activities while everyone else tries to guess them.

Some ideas are:

changing a nappy
rocking a baby
pushing a stroller
feeding a bottle

Baby Predictions

Give everyone a pen and paper and get them to predict details about the baby, like:

birth date
weight
eye colour
hair colour

It’s really fun looking back on them after the baby arrives!

Advice for the Parents

Give round pieces of paper; you can print cute ones online, but plain ones do the trick, too. Get the guests to share their best parenting advice for the parents-to-be. Some are genuine, and some are hilarious; either way, it’s a fun activity for a baby shower!

Don’t Say “Baby”

This game is a baby shower classic. Guests aren’t allowed to say the word “baby” during the shower. Give each guest a clothespin to clip onto their clothing. If someone catches them saying it, they lose their clothespin. It’s easy to organize and it’s a fun way to add a light touch to the conversations.

Who’s That Baby?

Ask guests to bring a baby photo of themselves and see if everyone can guess who’s who. It’s a popular baby shower game and always gets people talking, especially in mixed groups where not everyone knows each other yet.

Baby Bingo

Bingo is a simple and fun game that works for any party! Fill in the squares with the gifts you think the mum-to-be will get, and cross them off as she opens them. The first to get 5 in a row is the winner!

Baby Animal Match

Give guests a list of animal names to match the baby animal names. It sounds easy, but it’s actually harder than you think, and with a timer on, it’s even harder!

Baby Word Scramble

Put guests to the test with a baby-themed word scramble and see who can solve the most words before the timer runs out. It’s a simple game, but it always brings out everyone’s competitive side.
