Ingredients

  • Chocolate (dark, milk, or white, depending on your preference)
  • Frog-shaped chocolate mold (you can find these online at Amazon)
  • Optional filling: white chocolate/crunch/peanut butter/caramel (or any other filling)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chocolate:
Melt your chocolate using a microwave or double boiler method. If using the microwave, heat in short bursts of 30 seconds, stirring in between, to avoid burning the chocolate.
  • Fill the Molds:
Once the chocolate is fully melted and smooth, use a spoon and add the chocolate to the mold. Make sure to coat the mold with chocolate everywhere but don't fully fill it. You want to leave space for the filling.
  • Add White Chocolate/Peanut Butter/Crunch:
Carefully spoon in your filling without applying too much pressure. You don't want the filling to mix with the dark chocolate. For crunch frogs, sprinkle a small amount of crunch on top of the filling. I used some almond crunch which was delicious, but, if anyone has nut allergies, you can opt for Rice Krispies.
  • Cover the Filling:
Using the remaining dark chocolate, cover the filling.
  • Set the Chocolate:
Place the molds in the freezer to allow the chocolate to set completely. This usually takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Unmold the Frogs:
Once the chocolate has hardened, carefully remove the frogs from the mold. Providing the chocolate has hardened properly, the molds should slide off without a hitch.
