Lay the licorice sticks on a baking sheet or large plate. This will make it easy to decorate them once they’re dipped in chocolate.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth and melted. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it can burn. You can also melt the chcoclate in a double boiler.
Take each liquorice stick and dip one end into the melted chocolate, coating about 1-2 inches of the end. You can use a spoon to help cover the liquorice evenly.
Immediately after dipping, sprinkle the coated end with your choice of sprinkles, edible glitter, or colored sugar. Make sure to cover it properly to get the desired effect.
Place the decorated licorice sticks on a sheet of parchment paper or a silicone mat to set. Allow the chocolate to harden completely. This can take about 15-20 minutes at room temperature, or you can speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
