14 Fun, Easy & No-Prep Friendsgiving Games
No party or get-together is ever complete without some fun games. They don’t need to be complicated games that require a lot of prep or cost a lot. I’ve put together 14 Friendsgiving games that need almost no prep and work for big and small groups of all ages. Friendsgiving is all about good friends and relaxed fun, and these games are perfect for that!
1. Friendsgiving Trivia

Trivia is one of the easiest ways to get everyone involved, and it works for any size group. Ask questions about Thanksgiving history, food and fall traditions; play in teams or solo. My free Thanksgiving Trivia printable has 10 multiple-choice questions and an answer page, so there’s nothing to write yourself. Grab the Free Thanksgiving Trivia Printable →
2. Most Likely To
This one costs nothing and gets loud fast! Read out prompts like “most likely to go back for thirds,” “most likely to fall asleep on the couch,” or “most likely to host next year.” On the count of three, everyone points at their answer.
3. Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt

If your group needs to get up and move after all that food, a scavenger hunt is perfect. My Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt printable comes with a hunt page and cards you cut out and hide, so setup takes a couple of minutes. It works indoors or outdoors and is fun for kids and adults, so it’s great if your Friendsgiving has a mix of ages. Get the Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt → $4.99
4. Thanksgiving Charades
Charades never gets old, and you only need a bowl and some scraps of paper. Write down Thanksgiving-themed ideas, like “carving the turkey,” “burning the rolls,” or “fighting over the last slice of pie,” then act them out in teams. Add a one-minute timer for extra fun!
5. Thanksgiving Pictionary
Grab a big pad of paper or a whiteboard and split into two teams. Stick to the Thanksgiving theme with words like turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, stuffing and gravy boat while your team guesses. The worse everyone is at drawing, the funnier it gets, so don’t worry about artistic talent!
6. Heads Up Style Guessing Game
Write Thanksgiving words on sticky notes or index cards and stick one on each guest’s forehead without them seeing it. They ask yes or no questions to figure out who or what they are. It’s a great one for mingling, and it needs almost no explaining.
7. Pie Tasting Contest

Ask everyone to bring a pie, then number the slices so nobody knows who made what and get everyone to taste and vote for their favorite. It’s dessert and a game in one!
8. Secret Ingredient Challenge
Pick a secret ingredient like cranberry, maple or pumpkin and ask each guest to make a dish using it. Taste everything and vote for the most creative. You end up with a more interesting menu and a good reason to taste everything on the table!
9. Friendsgiving Bingo
Make simple bingo cards with squares like “someone says what are you thankful for,” “someone asks for a second helping of pie,” “football gets mentioned” and “someone falls asleep.” Guests mark them off as the evening goes on, and the first to get five in a row wins a small prize.
10. White Elephant Gift Swap
Set a budget of around $15 to $20, ask everyone to bring a wrapped gift, then take turns picking or stealing from each other. It’s silly, but a lot of fun! You can theme it to the season with cozy or kitchen gifts for an extra cute twist.
11. Would You Rather: Thanksgiving Edition
Prepare questions like “Would you rather eat only turkey or only pie for a year?” or “Would you rather cook for 30 people or be a guest at 30 dinners?” Everyone picks a side and has to defend it. It’s an easy way to start conversations if the group doesn’t know each other well.
12. Blind Taste Test
Do a blind taste test game where you buy a few cranberry sauces, or a selection of pie fillings, and see if people can guess which is which. Add blindfolds to make it extra fun.
13. Thankful Jar
Hand out slips of paper and ask everyone to write down something they’re grateful for, without names. Put them in a jar, pull them out one at a time, and guess who wrote each. It’s cute, funny and a lovely idea if you want to read them again next year.
14. Board and Card Games
Sometimes the best plan is to put a few classic board games and card games on the coffee table and let people drift into them. Pick games that are easy to learn and fine for different group sizes. Having a few options means nobody gets left out.

Hosting Friendsgiving and want to keep it all organized? My Printable Party & Event Planner ($9.99) helps you map out your guest list, menu, timeline and budget in one place so you can enjoy the day!
My Thoughts
The best Friendsgiving games are the easy ones. Pick two or three, keep a few pens and paper handy, and the main thing is for everyone to have a good time. Nobody needs a perfect plan, they just need a reason to keep laughing!
